My inaugural build thread! I’m finally working on Albedo’s Cinnabar Spindle (which my autocorrect keeps changing to Cinnabon so that’s fun) which was 3D printed using files from @dangerousladies. It was printed at 90% scale since I’m petite (5’3).

Time to start priming and sanding. I like the Rustoleum Filler Primer, since it fills in any ridges and is easy to sand.
Paint time! I started by laying down the base colors with spray paint. The silver hilt is Rustoleum Metallic Silver, the gold is Rustoleum Metallic Gold, and the blade is Krylon Premium Metallic Original Chrome.
I’ve started adding in the detail work with acrylic paint.
Detail painting is done, and I’ve just sealed it with finishing enamel! From raw print to finished, this took about two weeks.
