[THREAD] Why Revival by Eminem is a 10/10 Album As a special thank you for 2k followers, I finally drop the anticipated thread I meant to do 400 followers ago - COVID-19 won’t stop me😘:

Finally it's here, now I've got 2,000 followers I can finally PROVE to you all that revival is a 10/10 album. There's many reasons as to why it is a 10/10 album - I could end this thread simply with "just listen to it" but I won't, I'll go fully into detail.

First, a quick shoutout to the production which is immaculate from start to finish - but it takes a rock influence on tracks such as 'Heat' & 'Remind Me' which have influenced nearly everyone. I mean, we've even heard that K Dot has a rock themed album coming up and Trippie Redd.

You can even argue that this album was so timeless that it influenced Lil Wayne back in 2010 to release his rock influenced album Rebirth. It also made I Love Rock & Roll 10x better and that's not a debate I'm willing to have.

You all moaned that Em didn't have content, so he provided you some of the best content - going against Trump (who you all claim to hate), he apologises to Kim and talks on black injustice - all the things you praised Kendrick for...double standards much.

The features is another 'issue' people seem to have with it - and for how deep the content is, the mainstream features are used to push these deep messages into the mainstream to get his point across.

Unfortunately, some people believe "pOp iS TrAsH" despite the fact hip-hop is now the number 1 genre...making it pop since that's short for popular...meaning the hypocrisy invalidates that criticism on Revival.

Another criticism of this album is that the lyrics are corny or straight up garbage - another myth. They're all quadruple entendres, for example on Heat, "Your booty is heavy duty like diarrhea" has 4 meanings.

A=ass is too big to handle, B=heavy duty in the line of fire and the diarrhea is guns spraying, C=your shit is too much to deal with & finally D=booty = car (as in the boot), heavty duty = worth a lot so it's a flex for an expensive car. This is just one example.

His 'staggered' flow in this project is a metaphor for his brain and the world (keeping up the conscious rap) and is a perfect fit for the atmosphere on every, single song without fault.

So the big question I promised - how did Revival reshape rap? I've already mentioned the influence of it, but it then set up 2 more Eminem albums which all continue to influence rap today.

Also, trap music is at an all time high with old-school rappers even trying it (such as Eminem) to try escape the shadow that Revival has created.

This album has inspired every album since it's arrival and even before because it's that good. For example, Illmatic was influenced solely off the genius wordplay and metaphors of Heat while...

...Kendrick's magnum opus To Pimp a Butterfly was influenced off this album - in regards to the conscious area of the album.

Every man born, everyone man who died was down to this album - it is the creator of our universe and will outlive us, your kids and all of mankind forever. And that, is why Revival by Eminem is a 10/10.
