[QQT: THOUGHT BUBBLE] 1/17 You gave India the gift of mandir politics, and inaugurated no fewer than two episodes of nationwide carnage over it. You watched the nation burn even if your own house burned with it.

/17 Your leader let YOUR kids die because, between life-saving oxygen and Deep Mahotsav, he thought a better use of money was the latter. And you responded with a resounding mandate to this exact brand of governance.

/17 Your leader fed YOUR kids food inappropriate even for beggars, incarcerated those who pointed it out, and you responded with not only cheering him up but trolling and threatening the whistleblower with death.

/17 Your leader legitimized thugs and criminals as Romeo Gangs and Durga Vahinis, and you rewarded him with a near-unanimous nod. Not just unanimous, VIGOROUS.

/17 You have no qualms against literal rapists and murderers running your affairs, so long as they wear orange, speak boring polemics on “our betis,” and affiliate with the criminal within you.

/17 Your folks lynched people over cows and you not only watched them get felicitated, but rallied for their right to lynch. You knew you were placing into your Assembly what belonged on the gallows but did it anyway...because you LOVED what they did.

/17 When Kashmir burned, YOU celebrated and danced and sang about how Modi would help you score Kashmiri girls. You even sang and tweeted about raping them for “retribution.” Because that’s how rotten you’ve always been.

/17 When the Prime Minister went “shadi hain paise nahi,” and laughed, people laughed. Not at him, but WITH him. And YOURS was the loudest laughter. Real people lost their lives and livelihoods to that move and you celebrated it.

/17 When this clown car was rewarded with a second term with a BIGGER mandate, yours was the single most pronounced contribution. You have continued to reward your worst with remarkable consistency, but that’s okay. What isn’t, is you inflicting them upon us.

/17 You have offered nothing but your filth to India’s political landscape. When India’s success story was being scripted in places like Bombay, you brought nothing but negativity and self-entitlement to the table. And all of it because you hate peace.

/17 And your biggest crime? You gave us Modi. Yes, Gujarat birthed him, but he wouldn’t be our problem without your help. Every riot anywhere in the country, even 2002, is YOUR gift to this wretched land. So when you die, excuse my kind for being less than gloomy about it.

/17 Sure, we mustn’t mock the dead. Sounds nice and dandy. But how many of you bleeding-heart liberals would’ve mourned Nazi sympathizers during WW2? How many of you wouldn’t have celebrated the trials at Nuremberg?

/17 And you sweet leftwing Hindus preaching us forbearance and kindness, you literally celebrate Dussera. Please don’t say it’s to mourn Ravan’s boys. But that’s mythology, so don’t count. So what if it still dictates your own moral compass.

/17 The single most emotional song looped through every I-Day goes, “zara ankh mein bhar lo paani.” I hear it made Nehru cry. Ever noticed the “10-10 ko ek ne maara” a few verses later? Never heard “let’s not become like them,” then, did we?

/17 “Let’s not stoop to their level.” You don’t say this when we celebrate death for the Kauravas in mythologies, and for Akhlaq’s murderer in reality. All moral grandstanding is conditional. Selective.

/17 Know why? Because we love to celebrate what we look forward to. And we look forward to the end of what we consider evil. Subjective. Because we aren’t walking courtrooms. We aren’t gods. We’re emotional beings. And we have our opinions.

/17 So please spare us, at least me, your sermons on benevolence and kindness. This heart is small. And cold. Let me see diwali where they see pyres. Just as I let them see Kashmiri brides where I saw tyranny.
