๐Ÿงต'Changing state' and 'immutable' are vague terms. God does whatever he likes *whenever* he likes. Is God subject to time? It is God and his actions that constitute time. God spoke to the Angels when *before* he created Adam informing them of his intention... /1

...and *then* after He had created him, He commanded them to prostrate to him. And *then* He told Adam not to eat from the fruit of that tree, and *then* He spoke to Musa when he came upon Mt. Sinai. In fact, on the day of judgement, the prophets would say... /2

ุซู„ู‡ "My Lord is angry today like He has never been *before* nor will He ever be *afterwards*" [al-Bukhari] So are the Messengers attributing to God a 'change of state'? Terms don't change reality. These are Gods actions.. /3

Just as Imam Ahmed said: We won't reject any of God's attributes just because of some shocking frightful words are used for them (i.e. by those who deny those attributes in order to scare people away from believing in them).../4

And most importantly, God will 'come' on the last day for judgement. In the Qur'an: And this../5

has been alluded to elsewhere in the Qur'an: ูˆุฑ i.e. are they waiting for the Last Day when that will happen? .../6

There is a plethora of texts which describe Allah's actions with words such as *before*, *after*, *when*, *then* etc. Not to mention the divine Hadith, "I am time, I cause the succession of day and night". Thus it is His direct and decreed actions that constitute time... /7

As for the impossibility of 'God becoming human' it is not because He is immutable and cannot do whatever He likes, rather it is because that it is a inherent contradiction. God cannot become 'not God'. God is perfect, he cannot become 'not perfect'... 8/

He is immortal, He cannot become mortal. He is sublime, He cannot become urinating and defecating creature. He is independent of all needs, He cannot become dependent on food, drink and oxygen... so on and so forth. And this has been alluded to in the Qur'an... 9/

ุงู†ุธุฑ ุฃู†ู‰ ูŠุคููƒูˆู† The Messiah, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger... they both ate food. See how We make the signs clear to them, yet behold how they are deluded away (from the truth)! ..../End

If you mean by "God does not change His state" that He does not gain new attributes or lose some of His attributes, then the negation is correct. But if the intended meaning is to deny His actions, which He does whenever He likes, then that amounts to rejecting many texts... /PS
