This is how Indian parents' overprotectiveness ruins a child 🧵

The kids in our area take care of newborn puppies! They feed them They play with them They look after them Every single day since they were born Their parents hate the pups. Reason: unknown They are not even old enough to bark!

Today, a boy was excited to play with the pups Hesitant at first, but he touched one of them and laughed in wonder! His father came and slapped him twice - in front of many people. Including his friends! Logic: pups might bite him The kid is 10!

Father's overprotectiveness: "my kid may get hurt" How do I stop him?: "by slapping him, hurting him, humiliating him" Father of the year! 🏆

What will the kid remember: Never show compassion towards an animal Never do anything the parents don't approve of Never question what is right and what is wrong As long as you are a carbon copy of your parent's morals - you are a good boy. Or else, you are slapped.

Growth is not a result of conformity. Growth is a result of rational thinking, calculated risk, and listening to your own voice. Nobody expects a 10-year-old to grow by playing with dogs. Let them learn the lesson by doing it Let them fall if they have to be there when they fall

Fear of the unknown is making your kids lose important opportunities! The ship is safest at the shore but it is not meant to be there!
