Men, you fail to move forward in life because you are stuck with perpetual procrastination. You push things onto a tomorrow that never arrives for 4 key reasons. Here’s how to transform yourself in a few weeks life by fixing each of them ; THIS THREAD IS WORTH $999+

Brothers, this thread is for those of you who fail to recognize the validity and urgency of losing time. Your mind is all knowing. It knows exactly what you need to do at this moment of your existence. And yet, you delegate it to another day.. Why does one do this?

1) You suffer from procrastination because you have an energy reserve deficiency. No, not physical energy but mental - willpower or determination. The fire in your spirit to get things done. You lack this because your mind is overstimulated with mindless, inane content. Read on..

Every video, audio, text you consume consumes energy to collate, digest and assimilate data into your mind. Ask yourself this, how much of this data is pure junk? Information overload will never let you have clarity. Brother, your will is finite. Learn to allocate it better. How?

You procrastinate because you lack energy. You lack energy because you deplete it by consuming junk all day. Resolve this first. Rule over your attention with an iron hand and Only consume content on topics that feed into your vision for life.. This takes time. DO IT ANYWAY.

2) You suffer from procrastination also due to neurobiology. Primarily the battle between your limbic system and your prefrontal cortex. Let me explain with simplicity. Your prefrontal cortex is what helps you exercise self control. Its out of balance now from excess dopamine...

Most addicts suffer from procrastination. The most common one I’ve found is pornography or social media. Porn fucks up your hormone profile to such an extent that you damage your pre frontal cortex. This means less decision making capability, less self control and more lethargy..

You need to detox your brain and allow for it to heal. This will take around 12 - 15 weeks for an average person. Abstain from all unnatural dopamine hits for this period and focus on healthy living. In a few days you will find your energy reserves and motivation getting better.

3) Procrastination is not a time management problem, it is an emotion regulation problem. Making detailed schedules is not what you need. What you really need to learn is to manage emotions. Let me explain what I mean..

Every task you do as an individual is a rational choice to do something difficult & sacrifice momentary comfort. You do this with the subtextual understanding that you will get a return out of it in the future. In short you willingly embrace immediate emotional discomfort. BUT...

When you procrastinate, you are doing so because you want to run away from discomfort. This aversion may be due to the task itself. Eg, cleaning your toilet or doing chores. Or due to the unpleasant emotions that they create in you Eg, anxiety, insecurity, fear of failure, doubt.

The solution this is simple. You can do two things to avoid emotional limbic brain taking over. A) you do not let the negative emotion to form b) You take all attention away from it by training to be in the present.

Any task that you do, will give you the most friction in the initial few minutes. Once you get started and keep at it for at least 15 minutes the friction wears down. Friction here is emotional resistance. Start with this..

How do you not let a negative emotion fully form & take hold of you? You shorten time to action & initial momentum. Make a self contract. Every time you feel the urge to push something for tomorrow you will instead begin the task and do it with all your heart for 15 minutes. Why?

The human brain has a harder time letting go of an unfinished task. This is a very widely known psych phenomenon. This way you eliminate initial friction & also get that hit of dopamine to build momentum. You are much less likely to procrastinate now. Next..

The practice of mindful meditation is proven to thicken your prefrontal cortex over time. This drastically improves your decision making, cognitive ability and also helps you exercise better self control. You are less likely to succumb to impulsive action like browsing IG now.

4) You procrastinate because your mind does not trust the plan. As humans, our minds possess can conceive of a plan & also evaluate it to see if it's good or bad. This evaluation happens through experiences, learning and external input. A good plan always gives you motivation

The next time you feel like you want to push something for later, really evaluate if the task you’re going to do has been thought through well. If it aligns with your values. If it has been designed to elevate you & offer better returns in the long run. If so, you will want it.

99% of people who procrastinate fall under either one or more of these buckets. If you think through this logically and put into place systems to not fall for these, you will find everything you need to ride forward to victory. Now get to work.
