The Jan. 6 Committee by @meghanncuniff

The Jan. 6 Committee responds to John Eastman’s 9th Circuit stay request re: Judge Carter’s email order.
“Even if the Constitution did not bar the relief that Dr. Eastman seeks, he provides no reason why the district court’s disclosure order here was incorrect.”

Full 29-page @January6thCmte response here. “Dr. Eastman has submitted the substance of his merits arguments ex parte, thereby depriving Congressional Defendants of a meaningful opportunity to respond.”

A lot going on this morning as the Eastman emails that Judge Carter ordered released under the crime-fraud exception are now publicly available because the DropBox link was included in a public court filing.

It looks like Eastman’s lawyers have now deleted them, but not before @Politico got them uploaded to DocumentCloud.
